The positive performance was likely driven by <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-tapped-97k-as-us-and-china-plan-high-level-trade-talks\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">reports<\/a> that the United States and Chinese officials will hold trade talks this weekend and could potentially discuss the removal or reduction of certain barriers, such as the staggering tariffs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Somewhat expected, bitcoin\u2019s upswing has benefited investors. Data compiled by IntoTheBlock shows that the percentage of BTC holders currently sitting at paper losses has dropped to 0%. The newest holders (those who entered in the past 30 days) comprise only 4% of the total share.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Despite its recent resurgence, BTC remains below its all-time high price of almost $110K, registered in mid-January. However, the gap has narrowed, and some analysts believe we might soon witness a fresh peak.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">X user CRYPTOWZRD, for instance, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cryptoWZRD_\/status\/1919825586496647592\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">argued<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the asset is \u201cin a macro uptrend,\u201d predicting a pump to almost $150,000 in the following months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">KALEO and Changpeng Zhao (Binance\u2019s former CEO) were even more bullish. The former <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CryptoKaleo\/status\/1919838317241057383\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">thinks<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> BTC has the potential to cross $500,000 during this cycle, while the latter <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Vivek4real_\/status\/1919450420809753014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">believes <\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the valuation could explode to a whopping $1 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cause for Concern<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The stats notifying that no single BTC investor is sitting at a paper loss might sound encouraging, but it could also signal bad news for the bulls. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There have been some occasions in the past when the asset\u2019s valuation experienced a substantial correction after such high (paper) profitability. In October 2024, for example, nearly 95% of BTC holders were <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-prections-this-important-metric-suggests-incoming-ath-for-btc-analyst\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">sitting<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> at some gains (at least on paper). Back then, the price stood at over $69,000, but shortly after, it briefly plunged below $65,500. Similar cases <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">were observed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in September and March last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Relative Strength Index is another factor suggesting that BTC could head south in the short term. This technical tool measures the speed and magnitude of the latest price changes and helps traders identify possible trend reversals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It varies from 0 to 100, and ratios above 70 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are considered<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> bearish since they hint that the asset has entered oversold territory. The RSI has <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">been on the rise<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in the past 24 hours, currently <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cryptowaves.app\/relative-strength-index\/BTC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">standing<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> at around 66.
