The move follows several other moves by the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/general\/restaurants\/25\/03\/44280041\/rfk-jr-thanks-steak-n-shake-for-rfking-the-french-fries-restaurant-goes-all-in-on-make-america-healthy-again\">targeting select groups <\/a>of American consumers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happened:<\/strong> Steak \u2018n Shake is adding Bitcoin to the list of items they support in 2025 alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/general\/restaurants\/25\/02\/44059763\/rfk-jr-applauds-this-restaurant-chains-move-fries-will-be-rfkd\">support for beef tallow, <\/a>the Make America Healthy Again movement, the Make America Great Again fans of <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> and <strong>Tesla Inc <\/strong>(NASDAQ:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/TSLA#NASDAQ\">TSLA<\/a>) fans.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Steak n Shake accepting Bitcoin payments at all locations starting May 16, making the cryptocurrency available to our more than 100 million customers. The movement is just beginning\u2026. \u2013 Steaktoshi,&#8221; the restaurant chain <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SteaknShake\/status\/1920647356032139430\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The signature of &#8220;Steaktoshi&#8221; paid tribute to <strong>Satoshi Nakamoto, <\/strong>the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Steak \u2018n Shake tested engagement for whether restaurant goers would pay with Bitcoin with a March <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SteaknShake\/status\/1898115490368872745\">tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Should Steak n Shake accept Bitcoin?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That tweet attracted over one million views and saw a response from Bitcoin supporter and the co-founder of <strong>Block <\/strong>and <strong>Twitter Jack Dorsey.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Owned by <strong>Biglari Holdings <\/strong>(NYSE:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/BH#NYSE\">BH<\/a>), Steak \u2018n Shake ended 2024 with over 450 locations globally, including 436 in the United States.
