In a post on X, they admitted being \u201cstill haunted by the day\u201d bad actors drained their <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">wallet<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The experience left a deep emotional scar and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was soon followed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> by yet another attack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">LUCIE said the scammer was \u201cso kind, so sympathetic\u201d and also an English native speaker. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">These <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are things that<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> might initially not <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">flash<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the red flag and cause some investors to fall into the trap.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Subsequently, Shibarium\u2019s marketing strategist warned people to be careful and stay safe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is worth mentioning that fraudsters often target the Shiba Inu community. Over the last few years, the meme coin has evolved into a complex ecosystem, whereas the number of investors, developers, and proponents is now in the millions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The growing community and the fact that some newcomers might have <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">little-to-no<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> experience could be <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">among the reasons<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> why scammers have shifted their focus on that front.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Not long ago, one SHIB-related X account <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/critical-warning-by-the-shiba-inu-shib-team-beware-of-this-scam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">alerted<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> people that wrongdoers had created fake profiles on the social media platform to deceive with \u201cpromises of giveaways, exclusive content, or investment opportunities.\u201d LUCIE was among the targets, and the hackers replicated their <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">personal<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">account<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Binance Users Should Keep Their Guard up<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">users of the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> world\u2019s largest digital asset exchange also comprise a substantial portion of the global cryptocurrency community.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Approximately a week ago, the company sounded the alarm about phishing scammers who present themselves as Binance staff on Telegram and other platforms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The team advised its customers to pay attention to suspicious messages and to always double-check information before clicking on unknown links.
