Shareholders Could &#8216;Suffer&#8217; If Bitcoin Plunges 90% For Half A Decade, But Reveals A Winning Endgame"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Strategy<\/strong> <strong>Inc.<\/strong> (NASDAQ:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/MSTR#NASDAQ\">MSTR<\/a>) executive chairman, <strong>Michael Saylor<\/strong>, says the company, formerly known as MicroStrategy, could survive a brutal crypto winter, but its shareholders wouldn\u2019t be too happy about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happened:<\/strong> In a new Financial Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/video\/4d1a1666-20d4-4930-ab80-eda742640f16\">film<\/a> and subsequent interviews, Saylor warned that if <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> (CRYPTO: <a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) &#8220;fell 90 per cent and stayed there for four or five years, we would still be stable,&#8221; yet equity investors &#8220;would suffer because they&#8217;re levered.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The alert comes as MicroStrategy \u2014 already the world&#8217;s largest corporate holder of the token at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/cryptocurrency\/25\/05\/45349057\/strategy-buys-134b-in-bitcoin-at-99856-cites-155-btc-yield\">568,840 BTC<\/a> worth about $59 billion \u2014 keeps piling on debt and preferred-stock financings to buy more.<\/p>\n<p>Saylor&#8217;s endgame is simple. &#8220;Whoever gets the most bitcoin wins.
