However, the final decision by the US SEC should be made in October.<\/p>\n<p>Excessive demand for bullish leveraged XRP causes a positive funding rate, meaning longs (buyers) are the ones paying the carry cost. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bgarlinghouse\/status\/1924506000096174168\" title=\"null\">asked<\/a> on May 19 that the lawmaker \u201creconsider and be a leader for ALL of crypto,\u201d and discuss \u201chow to make the US the crypto capital of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is nothing stopping XRP from hitting $3.50 or even higher, as Ripple Labs is no longer facing direct threats from regulators, which paves the way for <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/circle-plans-ipo-talks-ripple-coinbase-could-lead-sale-report\" title=\"null\">partnerships and acquisitions<\/a>.
