Moreover, the benchmark 10-year yield hovered near 1.51%, its highest level in two months.<\/p>\n<p>The increase\u00a0began when the Bank of\u00a0Japan<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/bonds\/25\/05\/45583866\/japan-bonds-surge-sparks-wall-street-bears-warning-of-global-armageddon-calls-jgb-long-end-most-important-thing-for-investors-to-track\"> stopped buying bonds<\/a>, leading to a larger bond supply in the market and higher yields. <\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Japanese government holds $7.8\u00a0trillion of debt, making it\u00a0the third most indebted government\u00a0globally, behind the U.S. and China, The Kobeissi Letter said.
