According to the coverage, each firm is willing to commit billions of dollars to the deal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Angel investor Paul Barron <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">recently <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/does-ripple-have-the-upper-hand-against-coinbase-in-the-battle-for-circle\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">suggested<\/a><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that sources indicate Ripple may have the edge in the potential $9 billion+ settlement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The battle for the stablecoin issuer remained a hot topic over the weekend, with some X users <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CheekyCrypto\/status\/1926386474087264472\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">claiming<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that Ripple submitted an $11 billion bid. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Others <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/realstephenchoi\/status\/1926690557335584825\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">assumed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the company would make an offer that couldn\u2019t be rejected today (May 26). However, numerous industry participants dismissed this theory, reminding that Monday is a public holiday in the United States, meaning a deal is unlikely to be announced in the following hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is important to note that several weeks ago, reports <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/why-was-ripples-5-billion-takeover-offer-rejected-by-circle-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">hinted<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that Ripple made an offer of roughly $4-$5 million to purchase Circle, which the latter supposedly turned down for being too low. Subsequent rumors circulated that the amount was later raised to $20 billion, although this remained unconfirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cardano-Ripple Pact on the Way?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Hoskinson also said the Cardano team <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reached out to their colleagues from Ripple<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> regarding the integration of the stablecoin RLUSD.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWe would like to find a path to get RLUSD on Cardano\u2026 We would do the integration for free because we like the XRP community, but it\u2019s still an ongoing conversation,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the American said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The idea of a potential collaboration between Cardano and Ripple has been circulating for quite some time. Towards the end of 2024, the bosses of the two entities, Brad Garlinghouse and Charles Hoskinson, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-cardano-mega-partnership-in-the-making-community-speculates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">exchanged<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> kind words. Shortly after, the latter\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-cardano-partnership-coming-next-month-charles-hoskinson-weighs-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">hinted\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that Cardano might integrate Ripple\u2019s stablecoin into its ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWe\u2019ve already had a call with the RLUSD people. Interestingly, it opened with a <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">brief<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> glimpse of Cardano\u2019s logo, fueling further speculation that a partnership might be on the horizon.
