Altcoins are largely in retreat mode again today while Bitcoin holds steady around $109,000, and their lackluster performance has not gone amiss among traders and analysts.<\/p>\n

Crypto YouTuber Lark Davis was among those who observed that \u201cdon\u2019t really do anything\u201d while Bitcoin hits a peak, retreats, and recovers. \u201cThat\u2019s the state of the crypto market right now,\u201d he said<\/a> on X on May 26.<\/p>\n

It is true, the majority of altcoins are still way down from their peak prices during the last bull market in 2021, so when is altseason coming<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Altseason Coming Soon \u2026 Really<\/h2>\n

The majority of analysts and crypto traders share the opinion that it won\u2019t be long, looking at current market conditions.<\/p>\n

On May 27, Bitcoin OG Kyle Chass\u00e9 said this altseason will be \u201cepic,\u201d but it won\u2019t be like previous altseasons because there are just too many tokens for everything to go up.<\/p>\n

Coingecko currently lists more than 17,000 tokens, and CoinMarketCap has a whopping 16 million crypto tokens tracked<\/a>. However, the vast majority of these are worthless meme coins on Solana and Base.<\/p>\n

Altseason will be EPIC.<\/p>\n

But it won\u2019t be like previous altseasons.<\/p>\n

There are just too many alts for everything to go up.<\/p>\n
