The authority responsible for approving or denying that type of product is the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Numerous X users\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">have recently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Cardanians_io\/status\/1926939157512781869\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">pointed out<\/a> that the agency has until May 29 to either approve or reject Grayscale\u2019s application<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is important to note that the SEC has a maximum of 240 days to review Grayscale\u2019s proposed spot ADA ETF and may choose to delay its decision multiple times. The regulator officially <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/cardano-ada-etf-approval-odds-surge-in-the-us-after-key-development-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">acknowledged<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the filing on February 24, meaning it has until October 22 to give its final answer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Launching such an investment vehicle will give investors additional options to gain exposure to Cardano\u2019s native token and could positively impact its price. After all, buying a spot ETF is as simple as purchasing regular stocks, all done through standard brokerage accounts. In the aftermath, investors hold shares of the product, while the fund itself acquires and securely holds the underlying cryptocurrency on their behalf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Toward mid-April, the chances of an approved spot ADA ETF before the end of 2025 dropped to 37% (according to Polymarket). In the past several days, though, there has been renewed optimism, and the odds have <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/cardano-etf-in-2025?tid=1748335249109\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">risen<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to 70%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nearly a month ago, Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1917444433282490606\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">estimated<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the product has a 75% chance of seeing the light of day sometime this year. He later <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/xrp-doge-ltc-and-sol-etfs-launching-this-summer-this-expert-says-so\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">predicted<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that many of the spot crypto ETF applications <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">standing<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on the SEC\u2019s desk could receive a green light as early as this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">XRP, SOL, and DOGE \u0410re Also in the Game<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Introducing spot ETFs with various leading altcoins as underlying tokens has been a mission for numerous well-known companies. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">XRP leads the number of pending applications in the United States, with active filings <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/xrp-price-catalyst-franklin-templeton-joins-growing-list-of-etf-applicants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">submitted<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> by <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Grayscale, Bitwise, 21Shares, Franklin Templeton, and others. <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/ripple-etf-approved-in-2025?tid=1748342656337\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to Polymarket, the odds of an approved fund before the end of 2025 currently stand at 84%. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When moving the deadline to July 31<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, though<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the percentage drops to 22%.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Solana\u2019s native token has also garnered significant interest. VanEck, 21Shares, Canary Capital, and Bitwise are among the popular names <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitwise-canary-capital-vaneck-and-21shares-submit-solana-etf-applications-amid-price-surge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">competing<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to become the first to introduce a spot SOL ETF in America. Polymarket <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/solana-etf-approved-in-2025?tid=1748342673827\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">estimates<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the odds of the financial vehicle to go live in 2025 are 83%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The biggest meme coin in terms of market capitalization \u2013 Dogecoin \u2013 is on that list, too.
