{"id":29741,"date":"2025-06-02T10:01:56","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T10:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=29741"},"modified":"2025-06-02T10:01:56","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T10:01:56","slug":"crypto-payments-firm-redotpay-enlists-circle-payment-network-in-brazil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=29741","title":{"rendered":"Crypto Payments Firm RedotPay Enlists Circle Payment Network in Brazil"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Hong Kong-based RedotPay, a crypto payment fintech serving over four million users, has partnered with stablecoin issuer Circle\u2019s new payment network (CPN), to take the headache out of Brazil\u2019s cross-border transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The CPN collaboration means RedotPay users can now send cryptocurrency directly to Brazilian bank accounts, with funds automatically converted into Brazilian Real (BRL) upon arrival, the companies said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Stablecoins for payments are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/05\/29\/tether-tron-dominate-fast-growing-stablecoin-payments-arena-survey-shows?utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=editorial&amp;utm_term=organic&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=coindesk_main\">growing rapidly<\/a>, with various estimates about the potential market size for blockchain rails and dollar-pegged tokens. Circle, issuer of the second-largest stablecoin, USDC, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/04\/21\/stablecoin-giant-circle-is-launching-a-new-payments-and-remittance-network\">introduced the CPN in April,<\/a> to capture some of the cross-border payments and remittances space.<\/p>\n<p>RedotPay, which recently raised a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redotpay.com\/blog\/redotpay-secures-40-million-series-a-funding-to-accelerate-global-crypto-payment-solutions\/\">$40 million funding round,<\/a> says it\u2019s on a mission to make global payments more accessible for underbanked populations by reducing transaction costs, as well as eliminating the traditional one to five business day settlement period typically associated with international transfers.<\/p>\n<p>RedotPay is addressing two major pain points that have historically hindered cross-border payments in emerging markets, according to Michael Gao, CEO &amp; Co-Founder of RedotPay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor users, the process has been slow and costly with high foreign exchange rates and handling fees,\u201d Gao said in a statement. \u201cTransaction success rates have also been inconsistent.
