{"id":30097,"date":"2025-06-04T05:17:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T05:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=30097"},"modified":"2025-06-04T05:17:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T05:17:10","slug":"trump-family-media-group-files-for-truth-social-bitcoin-etf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=30097","title":{"rendered":"Trump Family Media Group Files for Truth Social Bitcoin ETF"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Trump Media &amp; Technology Group (TMTG) is moving forward with plans to launch a Bitcoin ETF called the Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, according to a June 3 SEC filing.<\/p>\n<p>NYSE Group Inc. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyse.com\/publicdocs\/nyse\/markets\/nyse-arca\/rule-filings\/filings\/2025\/SR-NYSEArca-2025-40.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">filed<\/a> regulatory paperwork to list the product, using the name of President Donald Trump\u2019s social network.<\/p>\n<p>The ETF is being developed through a partnership with Yorkville Advisors, a New Jersey-based company that Trump Media describes as an \u201cAmerica-First asset management firm.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">It\u2019s really happening. Trump\u2019s company is launching a Bitcoin ETF <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BQdj9jS98n\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/BQdj9jS98n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 James Seyffart (@JSeyff) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JSeyff\/status\/1930020668701053428?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">June 3, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Another Spot Bitcoin ETF<\/h2>\n<p>Foris DAX Trust Company will be the custodian of the digital assets, according to the filing, which did not mention the ticker or fees for the new fund.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/trump-media-group-to-raise-3-billion-to-buy-crypto-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Trump Media<\/a> had previously applied for trademarks related to Bitcoin investment products that align with the president\u2019s policy priorities.<\/p>\n<p>The spot Bitcoin ETF would join more than 60 US funds tied to BTC, though this would buy the asset and track its price like the eleven already approved and trading ETFs.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg Intelligence senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said, \u201cOn one hand, this is pretty uncharted territory and a huge endorsement of Bitcoin from Trump\u2019s company,\u201d before adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBut on the other hand, it\u2019s a routine filing in a very crowded category, and it will have its work cut out to attract flows and liquidity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, given Trump\u2019s dual role in setting cryptocurrency policy while potentially benefiting financially from related businesses.<\/p>\n<p>However, the White House has stated that Trump is separated from businesses bearing his name, and he has transferred his Trump Media shares to a trust controlled by <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/donald-trump-jr-unveils-2-5b-bitcoin-moon-shot-at-vegas-conference\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">his son<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Bitcoin Funds Surging<\/h2>\n<p>American <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/best-bitcoin-etf\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">spot Bitcoin ETFs<\/a> have been wildly successful since their launch 18 months ago and have seen a cumulative $44.4 billion in net inflows so far.<\/p>\n<p>Balchunas highlighted that industry-leading <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/blackrock-bitcoin-etf-sees-33-day-inflow-run-4b-in-past-fortnight\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">BlackRock\u2019s IBIT ETF<\/a> is the youngest by a long way to enter the top 25 funds. \u201cIt\u2019s like an infant hanging out with teenagers and twenty-somethings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Here\u2019s a table of the Top 25 biggest ETFs and their age.
