Bitwise&#8217;s Matt Hougan Says It Can"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Bitcoin<\/strong>&#8216;s (CRYPTO: <a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) volatility is well known, but <strong>Bitwise<\/strong> Chief Investment Officer <strong>Matt Hougan<\/strong> argues that when viewed within the context of a broader portfolio, the asset may improve performance without <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/cryptocurrency\/24\/11\/42170334\/bitcoin-investor-turns-daily-30-purchases-into-1-million-portfolio-in-7-years-10-months-and-12-days\">proportionately increasing risk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a note <a href=\"https:\/\/experts.bitwiseinvestments.com\/cio-memos\/more-return-with-less-risk\">published<\/a> by Bitwise Asset Management on June 3, Hougan questions the conventional practice of evaluating Bitcoin in isolation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When you think about adding Bitcoin to a portfolio, don&#8217;t do it in isolation.
