It is the Debt Slavery Bill,\u201d Musk, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/billionaires\/\">ranks No. 1<\/a> on Bloomberg&#8217;s Billionaires Index, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1930390978436968869\">posted on X<\/a> on Wednesday. \u201cI think a bill can be big or it could be beautiful. I don&#8217;t know if it could be both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 1,100-page bill, approved by the House on May 22, must now negotiate the Senate. It pairs $1.2 trillion in cuts to Medicaid and food assistance with permanent tax breaks and $150 billion in new defense and border security funding. The Congressional Budget Office estimates it will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/policy\/senate-trump-tax-bill-deficit-cbo-b4b0a70a\">add $2.4 trillion<\/a> to the deficit over the next decade, with some forecasts pointing higher.<\/p>\n<p>The timing is striking: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usdebtclock.org\/\">U.S. national debt<\/a> is already nearing $37 trillion, a historic high that has amplified concerns among fiscal conservatives and tech leaders alike.
