A widely followed trader on X (@MerlijnTrader) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MerlijnTrader\/status\/1932482898650886543\">observed<\/a> earlier today that ether brushed aside the $1,500 and $2,200 thresholds with ease and now looks set to challenge $4,000 \u2014a nd potentially even $10,000. <\/p>\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ethereumJoseph\/status\/1929892579736166615\">X thread<\/a> on June 3, Consensys founder Joseph Lubin portrayed Etheruem as a nonstop settlement layer that processed over $25 trillion in transactions last year and serves as the backbone for stablecoins, tokenized assets, native yield and DeFi.
