{"id":31268,"date":"2025-06-11T08:47:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T08:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=31268"},"modified":"2025-06-11T08:47:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T08:47:01","slug":"crypto-exchange-bullish-files-for-u-s-ipo-as-digital-asset-enthusiasm-mounts-ft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=31268","title":{"rendered":"Crypto Exchange Bullish Files for U.S. IPO as Digital Asset Enthusiasm Mounts: FT"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Crypto exchange Bullish confidentially filed for a U.S. initial public offering, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/1f0442f9-48f5-4fe3-890b-9acbb7057d2f\">Financial Times<\/a> reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the situation.<\/p>\n<p>The company aims to capitalize on renewed enthusiasm for digital assets driven by pro-crypto policy signals from the Trump administration and follows last week&#8217;s IPO of stablecoin issuer Circle (CRCL), whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/06\/05\/circle-soars-167-after-ipo-closing-at-83-in-first-day-of-trading\">shares soared 168%<\/a> on the first day of trading.<\/p>\n<p>The FT did not distinguish between Bullish Exchange and its parent, Bullish Group, the Peter Thiel-backed company that is also the parent of CoinDesk.<\/p>\n<p>The confidential filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission allows Bullish to prepare for a public listing while keeping financial details private for now. Jefferies will serve as lead underwriter, according to the Financial Times. <\/p>\n<p>Bullish previously attempted to go public in a SPAC deal in 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/12\/22\/peter-thiel-backed-crypto-exchange-bullish-calls-off-spac-deal\">The plan collapsed<\/a> the following year amid market volatility. Bullish Exchange is a Gibraltar regulated trading platform. <\/p>\n<p>This time, the IPO filing comes as bitcoin trades around $110,000 and crypto sentiment strengthens amid favorable regulatory tailwinds following the election of U.S. President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The group is led by CEO Tom Farley, a former president of NYSE Group, and chaired by Brendan Blumer of Block.one.  Thiel is a co-founder of PayPal (PYPL) and an early investor in Facebook, now Meta (META).<\/p>\n<p>Jefferies declined to comment to the FT.
