{"id":31325,"date":"2025-06-11T13:17:58","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T13:17:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=31325"},"modified":"2025-06-11T13:17:58","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T13:17:58","slug":"paypal-brings-its-stablecoin-to-stellar-for-cross-border-remittances-payments-financing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=31325","title":{"rendered":"PayPal Brings Its Stablecoin to Stellar for Cross-Border Remittances, Payments Financing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>PayPal (PYPL) is bringing its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/price\/paypal-usd\">PYUSD<\/a> stablecoin to the Stellar blockchain network to strengthen the dollar-pegged token&#8217;s position in cross-border remittances and payment financing, the companies said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>PYUSD, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2024\/05\/29\/paypal-makes-retail-stablecoin-play-with-pyusd-on-solana\">already operates<\/a> on Ethereum and Solana, will expand to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/04\/17\/stellar-sees-usd3b-of-real-world-assets-coming-on-chain-in-2025\">Stellar<\/a> to explore new areas like payment financing, or &#8220;PayFi&#8221;. This allows small and medium-sized businesses that face delayed receivables or pre-funding requirements to access new sources of real-time working capital, disbursed in PYUSD, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>That capital can be used to pay suppliers, manage inventory or address other operational needs with instant settlement on Stellar, the companies said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/06\/11\/expstab\">Stablecoins<\/a>, digital tokens whose value is pegged to a real-world asset, rose to popularity as a way to trade in and out of cryptocurrencies without having to convert to fiat cash. More recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/05\/29\/tether-tron-dominate-fast-growing-stablecoin-payments-arena-survey-shows\">much of the action<\/a> has been on the rapid growth of cross border remittances and other innovations within the payments arena.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For years, stablecoins have been deemed crypto\u2019s \u2018killer app\u2019 by combining the power of the blockchain with the stability of fiat currency.
