This was certainly the case in the past 12 hours or so as Israel\u2019s strike against Iran <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-crashes-toward-103k-crypto-markets-bleed-s200-billion-after-israel-strikes-iran\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">caused<\/a> substantial price drops for all crypto assets.<\/p>\n<p>However, while many larger-cap alts posted 7-8% drops and BTC\u2019s plunged by 3-4%, Pi Network\u2019s native token experienced a much more violent correction.<\/p>\n<p>Its price stood at roughly $0.62 before a painful candle took it south by 35% to just under $0.4. Moreover, it has plunged below the May lows of $0.6.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the Pi Network Core Team <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/why-is-pi-networks-price-up-today\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">hinted<\/a> about a big announcement in early May, which resulted in an immediate and massive price surge that drove PI from $0.6 to almost $1.7 within days.<\/p>\n<p>However, the asset started to <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pi-network-price-rollercoaster-continues-as-pi-dumps-by-35-in-hours\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">lose traction fast<\/a>, even before the announcement went live, and plunged to just over $0.6 after the team launched a new initiative aimed at investing in Pi Network-native projects.<\/p>\n<p>The PI token unlocks, which occur on daily scales, can also impact the native coin\u2019s price, and there are certain warnings in its future.
