Nodal Clear, a CFTC-regulated and part of the Deutsche B\u00f6rse-owned EEX Group, would handle clearing.<\/p>\n<p>The two firms said they are collaborating with U.S. regulators to bring the offering to market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur commitment to integrate USDC as collateral reflects our dedication to enhance trading capabilities for US market participants, improve operational efficiency through almost instant money movement,\u201d Boris Ilyevsky, CEO of Coinbase Derivatives, said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinbase.com\/en-pt\/blog\/coinbase-derivatives-and-nodal-clear-partner-in-usdc-integration\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Coinbase touted the move as a \u201cmeaningful milestone\u201d in its push to turn USDC into a \u201ctrue cash equivalent.\u201d The stablecoin, the second-largest behind Tether\u2019s USDT, is also set to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/06\/12\/shopify-to-enable-usdc-payments-on-coinbase-s-base-for-merchants-worldwide\">integrated into Shopify<\/a> over Base.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement follows Coinbase Derivatives\u2019 partnership with Nodal Clear to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/03\/10\/coinbase-to-launch-24-7-bitcoin-and-ethereum-futures-trading-in-the-us\"> launch round-the-clock futures trading<\/a> of BTC and ETH in the United States.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coinbase Derivatives and Nodal Clear are working to integrate the USDC stablecoin as collateral in regulated U.S. futures markets, aiming to launch the new framework in 2026.
