{"id":32697,"date":"2025-06-19T15:01:55","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T15:01:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=32697"},"modified":"2025-06-19T15:01:55","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T15:01:55","slug":"visa-expands-stablecoin-reach-in-europe-middle-east-and-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=32697","title":{"rendered":"Visa Expands Stablecoin Reach in Europe, Middle East and Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Payment card giant Visa (V) has expanded its stablecoin capabilities across the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) region, and has also formed a strategic partnership with African crypto exchange Yellow Card.<\/p>\n<p>Visa appears to be doubling down on stablecoins, which are fast becoming the new payment rails of the Internet, having last month invested in stablecoin-based payments firm<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/05\/07\/visa-doubles-down-on-stablecoins-with-investment-in-blockchain-payments-firm-bvnk\"> BVNK.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Visa became one of the first major payment networks to settle transactions in Circle\u2019s USDC stablecoin. To date, over $225 million in stablecoin volume has been settled through Visa across participating clients, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2025, we believe that every institution that moves money will need a stablecoin strategy,\u201d said Godfrey Sullivan, Visa\u2019s Senior Vice President and Head of Product and Solution for CEMEA in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/09\/19\/african-crypto-exchange-yellow-card-closes-40m-series-b\">Yellow Card<\/a> partnership will explore cross-border payment options, streamlining treasury operations and enhancing liquidity management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether with Visa, we\u2019re building a bridge between traditional finance and the future of money movement.
