{"id":33231,"date":"2025-06-23T15:17:03","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T15:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=33231"},"modified":"2025-06-23T15:17:03","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T15:17:03","slug":"trump-media-share-buyback-to-be-funded-separately-from-btc-treasury-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=33231","title":{"rendered":"Trump Media Share Buyback to be Funded Separately From BTC Treasury Strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of the social media platform Truth Social, is planning a $400 million share buyback program.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump&#8217;s media firm said that the repurchase would be funded separately from and not alter its bitcoin treasury strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The buyback will be conducted through open market transactions, and the repurchased shares will be retired by the company, <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.tmtgcorp.com\/news-events\/press-releases\/#b2iLibScrollTo\">Trump Media announced on Monday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since Trump Media now has approximately $3 billion on its balance sheet, we have the flexibility to take actions like this which support strong shareholder returns, as we continue exploring further strategic opportunities,&#8221; CEO Devin Nunes said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump Media recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/05\/27\/trump-media-raising-25b-for-bitcoin-treasury-strategy\">raised more than $2 billion<\/a> from around 50 institutional investors to create a BTC treasury, for which Crypto.com and Anchorage Digital will provide custody services.<\/p>\n<p>DJT shares <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/DJT\/\">climbed over 3.8%<\/a> to $18.50 in early trading on Monday following the buyback announcement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of the social media platform Truth Social, is planning a $400 million share buyback program.
