Alexander Hagen, CEO of Oslo based Ace Digital, revealed that he thought that his company would be the first in Europe to pioneer a Bitcoin ecosystem company. \u201cI got a congratulations message from Michael Saylor. We thought we\u2019re going to be number two. Now, we\u2019re probably going to be number eight or something,\u201d he said on 19 June 2025, talking during the Nordic Blockchain Association.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut we have our strategy,\u201d he added, \u201cand we\u2019re going to be firm about it. We differ from most of the others by protecting our downside risk.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are kind of a Bitcoin ecosystem company. We will develop product and services alongside a Bitcoin strategy-\u00a0 that is pretty much different from most of the other companies,\u201d he said. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe race has just started in the Nordics. I thought Ace Digital should be the first one in Europe, then our French friends started in November. I raised some money. I got a broker, I got some lawyers and we\u2019re going to list Ace Digital.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cAce digital is not a new company. We\u2019ve been in the space trading Bitcoin and looking for strategy, derivatives,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Christoffer De Geer, CEO of Sweden\u2019s Bitcoin Treasury Capital, weighed in. \u201cEverybody should have Bitcoin and I don\u2019t have to convert anyone. And one should have it in cold storage. And that\u2019s the way you should have your Bitcoin.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am definitely a Bitcoiner. But Bitcoin maximalist is the wrong term. We\u2019re minimalists generally. We just want Bitcoin. And everything else is irrelevant. So I would say we\u2019re Bitcoin minimalist.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Talking passionately about holding BTC, De Geer said, \u201cThe way you should hold Bitcoin \u2013 let\u2019s say you have an alternative now to invest in Bitcoin and you look at your options. The first thing you should do is go buy a hardware wallet. And you buy real Bitcoins. And then you set a pin and you kind of forget it. And that\u2019s a good start. That\u2019s how you start with Bitcoin and I would highly recommend that. That\u2019s how everybody should start with Bitcoin. You lose a bit and then you get serious about this.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYour Bitcoins are gone. And that\u2019s perfect. That\u2019s how you learn. This is not some bank\u2019s money. This is real money. This is not fiat something. This is actual value. It\u2019s super important. And you need to learn about it. You need to understand it and I always get goosebumps talking about Bitcoin. I\u2019m very Bitcoin religious,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s nothing more important. So therefore, learn about it, use it for real and have a cold storage setup. And then maybe you can start contemplating. Do you want to generate some yield on your Bitcoins? Yes, you can buy an alternative like a company or an ETP or something.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Bitcoin Treasury Capital Is Ready To Get Listed\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cWe are listing and we\u2019ll start trading on 27 June 2025,\u201d he revealed. \u201cWe have raised well above 100 million kroner.<\/span> As we\u2019re listed, we\u2019re going to continue to raise as much Bitcoin as we can and as fast as we can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Explaining \u2018Pure Play\u2019 De Geer said, \u201cWe have 100 Bitcoins but the value value of the company is 200 Bitcoins for example. What you do then is that you issue shares and the previous shareholders get technically diluted, but measured in Bitcoin, which is how you should measure everything. You don\u2019t get diluted. You get more Bitcoin per share. And that\u2019s the important part. The same goes from the other direction. Let\u2019s say we have 100 Bitcoins but we\u2019re valued at 50 Bitcoins. Then we can in theory, borrow funds and buy the share. And then we\u2019ve generated more Bitcoin per share for the shareholder. So, there\u2019s no operating revenue to buy Bitcoins. Instead, what we are doing is just pure play.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ace Digital Is Going Into Bitcoin Mining<\/h2>\n

\u201cA company is not an ETF,\u201d said Ace Digital CEO. \u201cA company is not a regulated fund. A company is an operating company and can do lots of things a regulated fund cannot do. Like we\u2019re going to be operating in the capital market. We\u2019re going to do structured debt. We\u2019re going to do equity raising. We\u2019re going to do derivatives. We\u2019re going to do products. We can move our headquarter from country to country. We can adapt more quickly than a phone. So if you have good management, then you get rewarded by a price higher than the underlying value.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hagen added, \u201cWe are going into mining, not to make revenue money, just to understand more about Bitcoin and what\u2019s happening with the Bitcoins afterwards. We are going to start subsidiaries with regulated funds with different types of risk in Bitcoin \u2013 lower volatility, higher volatility. It\u2019s going to be for institutional clients. We hope to make money out of that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
