Bitcoin has been given yet another overwhelming vote of confidence as a premier treasury asset.<\/p>\n

Metaplanet, a Japanese Bitcoin treasury company, recently announced an ambitious plan to\u00a0 raise $5.4B worth of $BTC by 2027 EOY. The company has already collected over $517M within 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Metaplanet is following in the footsteps of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) with a definitive goal in mind \u2013 to hold around 1% of the total 21M $BTC supply, as the filing<\/a> shows. That\u2019s an eye-watering 210K $BTC, an expensive exercise to say the least.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin treasuries raising funds to buy $BTC is a no-brainer, but it\u2019s not only fintechs that are jumping on the bandwagon. A Norwegian mining company has announced that it too is establishing a Bitcoin treasury, making digital assets a core part of its financing strategy.<\/p>\n

Green Minerals, which specializes in \u200b\u200bdeep sea mining and sustainable mineral extraction, has announced plans to invest up to $1.2B (with the help of partners) to establish a Bitcoin treasury.<\/p>\n

This move, according to a media statement<\/a> by Green Minerals, \u2018underscores the company\u2019s determination to leverage digital assets as a core component of its financial structure and future growth.\u2019<\/p>\n

The treasury will support its core mining projects as the company continues to implement blockchain technology for greater transparency across its supply chain, as well as for certification and efficiency.<\/p>\n

The signs are clear \u2013 more governments and companies are setting up Bitcoin treasuries. That\u2019s a definitive motion of confidence in $BTC as a legitimate store of value, and not merely a speculative asset.<\/p>\n
