Their average financial assets reach 96.79\u202f million won\u20141.3 times the 75.67 \u202fmillion won held by non\u2011investors.<\/p>\n<p>Among those who have ever bought virtual assets, 38% describe themselves as having an aggressive approach, versus just 20% in the general investing public.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/IPZ2cwvp\/\" width=\"1835\" height=\"884\"><\/p>\n<p>They also juggle more products\u20147.3 different investment vehicles on average compared with 4.3 for non\u2011crypto investors\u2014and 73% of them hold domestic stocks.<\/p>\n<p>Trading ETFs and ISAs is 1.5 times more common among virtual asset holders than among others.<\/p>\n<p>Entry Times And Amounts Invested<\/p>\n<p>Most people jumped in during the Bitcoin boom of 2020, with over 60% saying they began <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com.my\/business\/business-news\/2025\/06\/30\/quarter-of-south-koreans-aged-20-to-50-invest-in-crypto-assets#goog_rewarded\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">buying crypto<\/a> that year.<\/p>\n<p>Three\u2011quarters of investors started with less than 3\u202f million won, but today 42% have pumped more than 10\u202f million won into virtual assets over time. That shift shows a growing willingness to scale up stakes once confidence sets in.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-517918\" src=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A_5535ea.png?resize=684%2C412\" alt=\"\" width=\"684\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A_5535ea.png?w=684 684w, https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/A_5535ea.png?w=640 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\"><\/p>\n<p>A Shift From FOMO To Strategy<\/p>\n<p>Fear of missing out used to drive 57% of new investors, but that\u2019s fallen to 34%. Meanwhile, those citing \u201cnew investment experiences,\u201d growth potential or portfolio balance rose from 26% to 44%.<\/p>\n<p>When hunting for tips, 39% now lean on friends and family (down from 44%), while official exchange sites attract 24% (up from 15%) and analysis platforms draw 19% (up from 10%).<\/p>\n<p>Diversification And Exchange Preferences<\/p>\n<p>In the early days, 89% of investors focused only on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bitcoin<\/a>. Over time, more branch out into altcoins, stablecoins and even NFTs. Most use more than one exchange\u20147 out of 10 trade on Upbit, which links to K Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Features like trading volume or UI matter less now; bank linkage ease (7\u219211%) and promotions (2\u219210%) rank higher when choosing an exchange.
