{"id":34806,"date":"2025-07-02T13:46:52","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T13:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=34806"},"modified":"2025-07-02T13:46:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T13:46:52","slug":"coinbase-acquires-token-management-platform-liquifi-for-undisclosed-amount","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=34806","title":{"rendered":"Coinbase Acquires Token Management Platform LiquiFi for Undisclosed Amount"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (COIN) has acquired LiquiFi, a token management platform used by the likes of the Uniswap Foundation, OP Labs (Optimism) and Ethena.<\/p>\n<p>While the terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Coinbase said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinbase.com\/en-in\/blog\/Coinbase-acquires-LiquiFi-the-leading-token-management-platform\">blog post<\/a> that the acquisition will make it easier for crypto start-ups to build on-chain.<\/p>\n<p>LiquiFi is used by start-ups to manage functions like team token ownership, vesting schedules and compliance workflow. <\/p>\n<p>Coinbase&#8217;s rival, Binance, recently rolled out an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/06\/11\/binance-wallet-launches-alpha-earn-hub-amid-record-usd12-5b-daily-volume\">Alpha platform<\/a> that features token launches and token incubation. It&#8217;s unclear whether Coinbase will follow Binance down this route but it did say in the blog post that it wants to &#8220;remove the barriers&#8221; for start-ups by providing both the product to make token launches simple.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition follows a steady stream of M&amp;A activity in crypto in recent weeks; in May DEX aggregator 0x <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/05\/15\/0x-acquires-competitor-flood-in-push-to-boost-share-of-usd2-3b-defi-aggregator-market\">acquired its competitor Flood<\/a> and in the same week David Bailey&#8217;s Nakamoto Holdings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/05\/12\/david-bailey-s-nakamoto-holdings-going-public-via-merger-with-kindlymd-shares-soar-650\">went public via a merger<\/a> with KindlyMD.<\/p>\n<p>COIN shares rose 1% in pre-market trading following the announcement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (COIN) has acquired LiquiFi, a token management platform used by the likes of the Uniswap Foundation, OP Labs (Optimism) and Ethena.
