With the presumably crypto-friendly Trump administration taking office in January 2025, speculation has begun about whether Dogecoin <\/strong>(CRYPTO: DOGE<\/a>) exchange-traded fund (ETF) could become a reality next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Happened: <\/strong>“I think everything is on the table moving forward under the new administration,” said Nate Geraci<\/strong>, President of the ETF Store<\/strong>, in an interview<\/a> with The Block<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

President-elect Donald Trump<\/strong>, who has positioned himself as a pro-crypto leader, has promised to make the United States the \u201cbitcoin capital of the world<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a move reflecting his approach, Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency<\/a> (DOGE), which will be led by Tesla <\/strong>and SpaceX<\/strong> CEO Elon Musk<\/strong>, a vocal Dogecoin supporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The approval process for new crypto ETFs could become more streamlined under the incoming administration, particularly as regulatory clarity improves. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe hope is that the new administration moves quickly to designate which crypto assets are securities and which aren’t,\u201d Geraci added. \u201cOnce that framework is in place, the approval path for additional spot crypto ETFs should become much clearer.\u201d<\/p>\n
