This license would allow the company to expand its crypto services and operate across state lines under federal regulation. <\/p>\n<p>A key part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openpayd.com\/announcements\/ripple-and-openpayd-partner-to-deliver-enterprise-ready-stablecoin-and-payment-infrastructure\/\">new collaboration<\/a> is support for Ripple USD (RLUSD), Ripple\u2019s U.S. dollar stablecoin. OpenPayd will allow for the direct minting and burning of RLUSD.<\/p>\n<p>The companies said the solution aims to simplify cross-border payments, treasury management, and dollar liquidity needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe future of global finance depends on seamless interoperability between traditional infrastructure and digital assets,\u201d saidJack McDonald, Ripple\u2019s SVP of stablecoins, adding that the partnership \u201cgives enterprises reliable access to RLUSD, combining the stability and compliance they expect with the connectivity they need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ripple Payments, per the release, processes over $70 billion in payment volume annually, spanning more than 90 payout markets.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership news also comes shortly after Ripple Labs\u2019 CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed the firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2025\/06\/27\/ripple-to-drop-cross-appeal-against-sec-ending-years-long-legal-battle-with-sec\">dropped its cross-appeal <\/a>against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to end a year-long legal battle with the regulator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ripple has partnered with London-based fintech firm OpenPayd to build a stablecoin and payments infrastructure for businesses looking to move money across borders quickly and at lower costs.
