This change, based on market cap rankings as of Nov. 29, will take effect after Dec. 20.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happened<\/strong>: According to\u00a0a report <a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/4740896-nasdaq-100-upcoming-index-reconstitution-could-be-a-major-event\">by<\/a> Seeking Alpha, the inclusion of MicroStrategy, with its $94 billion market cap, will impact passive funds tracking the\u00a0index, such as the <strong>Invesco\u00a0QQQ Trust<\/strong> (NYSE:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/QQQ#NYSE\">QQQ<\/a>) and\u00a0the <strong>Invesco Nasdaq 100<\/strong>\u00a0(NYSE:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/QQQM#NYSE\">QQQM<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>These funds, along with\u00a0the <strong>Global X Nasdaq 100\u00a0Covered Call<\/strong> (NYSE:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/QYLD#NYSE\">QYLD<\/a>), will need to adjust their holdings to include MicroStrategy by Dec. 20.<\/p>\n<p>MicroStrategy\u2019s entry into the NASDAQ 100 introduces Bitcoin exposure to passive investors, as the company holds\u00a0nearly 2% of the Bitcoin\u00a0supply.
