Drake\u2019s latest track, \u201cWhat Did I Miss,\u201d features lyrics about betrayal, luxury, and bitcoin. The rapper compares fickle friends to the cryptocurrency\u2019s rollercoaster price moves, saying he looked at it \u201clike a BTC\u201d: \u201cCould be down this week, then I\u2019m up next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time bitcoin has appeared in Drake\u2019s orbit. In the past few years, the Canadian superstar has become one of crypto\u2019s most visible celebrity community members.<\/p>\n

The rapper shared a clip of Michael Saylor<\/a> on his Instagram account, which at the time had over 146 million followers, where Strategy\u2019s co-founder said bitcoin would \u201ceat\u201d gold.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also dropped more than $1 million<\/a> worth of bitcoin on losing bets for the Dallas Mavericks and Edmonton Oilers, with other high-profile punts on UFC fights and Formula One races.<\/p>\n

Drake\u2019s betting performance has inspired memes calling it the \u201cDrake Curse,\u201d referencing losses in the teams and athletes he bets on. The rapper addressed that curse, telling fans he\u2019s just a \u201cflawed sports bettor.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Yet Drake isn\u2019t just rolling dice. He has partnered with crypto gambling platform Stake, in a partnership that\u2019s reported<\/a> to be worth $100 million annually.<\/p>\n

Outside the casino lights, Drake has made crypto investments in firms, including MoonPay<\/a> and brandished hardware wallets on social media.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Drake\u2019s nod to bitcoin\u2019s volatility comes at a time that\u2019s being interpreted as the calm before the storm.
