{"id":35487,"date":"2025-07-07T10:46:45","date_gmt":"2025-07-07T10:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=35487"},"modified":"2025-07-07T10:46:45","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T10:46:45","slug":"crypto-exchange-mercado-bitcoin-to-tokenize-200m-in-real-world-assets-on-xrp-ledger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=35487","title":{"rendered":"Crypto Exchange Mercado Bitcoin to Tokenize $200M in Real-World Assets on XRP Ledger"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Latin American cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin plans to tokenize over $200 million in real world financial assets (RWAs), including fixed income and equity instruments, on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).<\/p>\n<p>The move marks one of the largest tokenization efforts by a Latin American institution on XRPL, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The tokenization of real-world assets is projected to surge from approximately $0.6 trillion in 2025 to nearly $19 trillion by 2033, according to a 2025 report by Ripple and Boston Consulting Group.<\/p>\n<p>Mercado Bitcoin is already a significant player in the private credit asset tokenization space, having tokenized over brazilian real $1 billion (approximately $185 million). The company also connects its ecosystem to a network widely adopted by over 70 central banks, regulators, and major financial institutions globally, the press release stated.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple, a key contributor to the XRPL, is supporting Mercado Bitcoin&#8217;s integration.
