Leading cryptocurrencies recovered and stocks traded flat on Tuesday as President Donald Trump stated that the Aug. 1 deadline for tariffs remains unchanged.<\/p>\n

What Happened<\/strong>: Bitcoin <\/strong>rallied to an intraday high of $109,198.97, recouping losses from Monday\u2019s sell-off. Ethereum<\/strong> broke above $2,600 but failed to sustain the rally<\/p>\n

Institutional interest continued to grow, as iShares Bitcoin Trust<\/strong>\u00a0(NASDAQ:IBIT<\/a>)\u00a0surpassed\u00a0<\/a>Strategy Inc.<\/strong>\u2018s (NASDAQ:MSTR<\/a>) BTC holdings.<\/p>\n

Over $115 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, with short position traders losing more. A further $260 million in Bitcoin perpetuals risked liquidation if the apex cryptocurrency rose to $111,000.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin’s open interest rose marginally by 0.52%. Notably, the majority of top traders on Binance <\/strong>were positioned short as of this writing.<\/p>\n
