{"id":35978,"date":"2025-07-09T14:47:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T14:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=35978"},"modified":"2025-07-09T14:47:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T14:47:01","slug":"core-scientific-sale-sets-floor-price-for-bitcoin-miners-jpmorgan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=35978","title":{"rendered":"Core Scientific Sale Sets Floor Price for Bitcoin Miners: JPMorgan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>AI infrastructure firm CoreWeave&#8217;s (CRWV) deal to buy Core Scientific (CORZ) will raise the valuation floor for bitcoin (BTC) mining stocks but is unlikely to be replicated, Wall Street bank JPMorgan said in a research report Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Much like the company\u2019s first HPC deal with CoreWeave announced last summer, the terms and purchase price appear to be a one-off,&#8221; analysts Reginald Smith and Charles Pearce wrote.<\/p>\n<p>CoreWeave said Monday it had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20250707193803\/en\/CoreWeave-to-Acquire-Core-Scientific\">agreed to buy<\/a> Core Scientific in an all-stock transaction valuing the bitcoin miner at about $20.40 per share, based on recent closing prices.<\/p>\n<p>The bank&#8217;s analysts noted that Core Scientific closed at around a 25% discount to the deal terms the day the takeover was announced.
