The SMS claimed their accounts had supposedly been accessed from North Korea, urging them to take immediate action.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/binance-users-targeted-in-latest-sms-spoofing-scam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reported<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the case of the user Joe Zhou, who panicked and contacted the provided number. The unfamiliar person from the other side instructed him to set up a specific wallet and transfer all his funds there for an \u201cinvestigation.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Zhou initially followed the directive but grew suspicious and reached out to a close friend employed at Binance, who confirmed it was a fraud.
