According to Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley, the company could be referred to as an \u201cXRP treasury company\u201d within the next year. Additionally, a large portion of XRP\u2019s total supply\u2014roughly 42%\u2014remains under its control through monthly escrow releases.<\/p>\n<p>While the escrowed XRP is managed by on-chain contracts, its long-term release structure continues to tie Ripple closely to the asset.<\/p>\n<h2>XRP Holdings Fuel Talk of a Corporate Pivot<\/h2>\n<p>Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nFofeQb2iDg\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">questioned<\/a> the company\u2019s $11 billion valuation, suggesting it doesn\u2019t account for Ripple\u2019s massive XRP holdings.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThat $11 billion number is very outdated,\u201d Garlinghouse said in a previous statement, pointing to the company\u2019s roughly $100 billion XRP-linked balance.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, this shift comes at a time when several public companies are exploring XRP treasury strategies. Trident Digital Tech Holdings is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2025\/06\/12\/3098438\/0\/en\/Trident-Announces-up-to-500-Million-Financing-Plan-for-XRP-Treasury-and-appoints-Chaince-Securities-LLC-as-the-strategic-advisor.html\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">aiming<\/a> to raise $500 million worth of XRP. Webus International has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2025\/05\/29\/3090446\/0\/en\/Webus-International-Limited-Announces-Up-To-US-300-Million-Strategic-Financing-Plan-for-XRP-Blockchain-Integration-and-Renews-Nationwide-Partnership-with-Toncheng-Travel.html\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">outlined<\/a> a $300 million goal, while VivoPower and Wellgistics Health have secured $121 million and $50 million, respectively, in XRP for corporate reserves.<\/p>\n<h2>Stablecoin Efforts Continue with New Custody Deal<\/h2>\n<p>Ripple\u2019s growing interest in digital assets extends beyond XRP. Its stablecoin, RLUSD, has reached a market cap of over $500 million. The company has <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-taps-the-oldest-us-bank-to-custody-rlusd\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">tapped<\/a> Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) to serve as custodian for it.<\/p>\n<p>The oldest bank in the United States, is known for supporting digital asset custody services.
