{"id":39116,"date":"2025-07-28T12:47:03","date_gmt":"2025-07-28T12:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=39116"},"modified":"2025-07-28T12:47:03","modified_gmt":"2025-07-28T12:47:03","slug":"zodia-markets-raises-18-25m-to-fuel-international-expansion-stablecoin-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=39116","title":{"rendered":"Zodia Markets Raises $18.25M to Fuel International Expansion, Stablecoin Payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Zodia Markets, the crypto trading firm majority-owned by Standard Chartered (STAN), has raised $18.25 million led by Pharsalus Capital.<\/p>\n<p>The Series A funding round will be used to support Zodia&#8217;s international expansion effort and further develop its stablecoin payments services, <a href=\"https:\/\/zodiamarkets.com\/insights\/press-release\/zodia-markets-raises-18-25-million-in-series-a-fundraise\/\">according to an announcement on Monday<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Zodia is aimed at financial institutions, offering them a combination of wholesale finance and 24\/7 digital asset trading, to &#8220;reengineer traditional foreign exchange capital flows with real time stablecoin settlement across borders,&#8221; CEO Usman Ahmad said in the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Institutional capital shouldn\u2019t have to wait for banking hours or be held back by manual workarounds&#8221;, Ahmad added.<\/p>\n<p>Stablecoins are crypto tokens pegged to the value of traditional financial assets, normally fiat currencies. Free from the often volatile price swings that afflict a lot of cryptocurrencies, stablecoins allow traders to hold capital in the digital asset ecosystem  and be sure that it will maintain a consistent value.<\/p>\n<p>They have been a central part of evolving regulation of digital assets, with major jurisdictions such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2025\/07\/17\/genius-act-for-stablecoins-passes-house-on-way-to-be-first-major-u-s-crypto-law\">the U.S.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2025\/07\/23\/the-market-has-become-overly-excited-for-stablecoins-hong-kong-financial-regulator-says\">Hong Kong<\/a> introducing stablecoin regulatory regimes.  <\/p>\n<p>Zodia&#8217;s Series A funding round also included contributions from Circle Ventures, The Operating Group and XVC Tech.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zodia Markets, the crypto trading firm majority-owned by Standard Chartered (STAN), has raised $18.25 million led by Pharsalus Capital.
