The capped calls were priced with a strike at $24.14 per share, representing a 40% premium to MARA\u2019s $17.24 reference price.<\/p>\n<p>MARA has long <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2024\/08\/27\/bitcoin-mining-is-so-rough-a-miner-adopted-michael-saylors-successful-btc-strategy\">championed a bitcoin-focused treasury strategy<\/a>, opting to accumulate rather than sell its mined bitcoin. The company holds roughly 50,000 BTC, valued at nearly $6 billion, ranking it as the second-largest bitcoin holder among public companies, <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.mara.com\/news-events\/press-releases\/detail\/1404\/mara-holdings-inc-completes-upsized-950-million-offering-of-0-00-convertible-senior-notes-due-2032\">according to data tracked by Bitcoin Treasuries<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MARA shares <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/MARA\/\">closed at $17.16 on Monday<\/a>, down 0.52% on the day.
