{"id":39616,"date":"2025-07-30T17:31:50","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T17:31:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=39616"},"modified":"2025-07-30T17:31:50","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T17:31:50","slug":"twenty-one-boosting-bitcoin-holdings-ceo-jack-mallers-sees-150k-btc-incoming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=39616","title":{"rendered":"Twenty One Boosting Bitcoin Holdings; CEO Jack Mallers Sees $150K BTC Incoming"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Twenty One Capital, the bitcoin (BTC) treasury firm backed by Tether and Softbank, plans to add 5,800 BTC to its reserves ahead of a public listing through its merger with Cantor Equity Partners, the firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20250729447172\/en\/Twenty-One-Expects-to-Add-5800-Bitcoin-Before-Planned-Listing-Increasing-Holdings-to-At-Least-43500-BTC\">said<\/a> Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The contribution, led by Tether as part of an existing arrangement, would bring Twenty One\u2019s total holdings to more than 43,500 BTC, over $5 billion at current prices, positioning it as the third-largest corporate Bitcoin treasury behind MicroStrategy and Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty One CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/04\/23\/commerce-secretary-lutnick-s-son-teams-up-with-tether-softbank-for-usd3b-bitcoin-spac-ft\">Jack Mallers<\/a>, who also leads bitcoin-focused payments app Strike, tied the accumulation strategy to Bitcoin\u2019s fixed supply, calling it &#8220;the scarcest thing&#8221; during a Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Jc5J-5cXpsM\">interview<\/a> with Bloomberg TV.<\/p>\n<p>He said price increases could accelerate as institutional and sovereign buyers compete for limited supply.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you want more bitcoin, you don\u2019t go to the bitcoin factory. You have to go up in price,\u201d he said. &#8220;Is there enough bitcoin for me at 120, 000? No, okay. 130k, 140k, 150k?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mallers suggested that growing demand from ETFs and possibly nation-states could force rapid price discovery.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bitcoin is inelastic to demand,&#8221; he said, adding that market participants will &#8220;find the supply they\u2019re looking for, they\u2019re just going to have to get it at a higher price.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company will also introduce a &#8220;Bitcoin Per Share&#8221; metric to let investors track holdings directly rather than through earnings. <\/p>\n<p>Tether and Bitfinex will remain majority owners of Twenty One after the listing, with SoftBank holding a minority stake.
