Bitcoin <\/strong>(CRYPTO: BTC<\/a>) and its proxy stock Strategy Inc<\/strong>. (NASDAQ:MSTR<\/a>) have underperformed gold since President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/strong> victory in November of last year, economist Peter Schiff<\/strong> highlighted on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Gold Outgains \u2018Digital Gold\u2019 <\/h2>\n

In an X post, Schiff took the end of November as the reference point and highlighted the superior returns of gold and VanEck Gold Miners ETF<\/strong> (NYSE:GDX<\/a>) vis-\u00e0-vis Bitcoin investments.<\/p>\n

If you bought Bitcoin at the end of Nov. 2024, following the enthusiasm over Trump’s win, you’re up 16%. However, if you bought $MSTR<\/a> to leverage BTC, you’re down 3%. But if you bought gold instead of either, you’re up 27%. And if you bought $GDX<\/a> to leverage gold, you’re up 50%.<\/p>\n
