It is designed to process payments quickly and is <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">being developed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> with the backing of crypto investment firm Paradigm. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The project is still <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">early<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">with only a handful of people working on it.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The existence of Tempo came to light through a job listing looking for engineers with experience in zero-knowledge proofs and Ethereum scaling.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Built to Speak Ethereum\u2019s Language<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tempo will be compatible with the Ethereum ecosystem. That means developers can write smart contracts in Solidity and plug into existing tools. The idea is not to reinvent the wheel but to offer a familiar environment with <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">better performance for payments<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
