These include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/07\/28\/stablecoin-focused-bitcoin-sidechain-plasma-draws-usd373m-in-oversubscribed-token-sale\">Plasma<\/a>, which drew over $373 million in an oversubscribed token sale, and Tether-focused blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/07\/31\/tether-focused-blockchain-stable-raises-usd28m-to-power-stablecoin-payments\">Stable<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Interest in the $270 billion stablecoin sector has been growing exponentially. Trump\u2019s recent<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2025\/07\/18\/trump-is-to-sign-the-historic-genius-act-into-law-what-does-it-mean-for-crypto\"> signing of the GENIUS Act into law<\/a> has helped boost the sector, as it established a regulatory framework for the sector in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Tempo is described as a \u201chigh-performance, payments-focused\u201d layer 1 that will run code compatible with Ethereum. The project is in stealth with a team of five, Fortune reports citing sources familiar with the effort. It\u2019s unclear whether it\u2019ll have its own native token.<\/p>\n<p>The blockchain\u2019s development marks another step in Stripe\u2019s crypto strategy, which saw it acquire stablecoin platform<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2024\/10\/21\/stripe-in-11b-acquisition-deal-for-stablecoin-platform-bridge-report\"> Bridge for $1.1 billion <\/a>last October.
