In a recent X post, Vetle Lunde, senior analyst at K33 Research, highlighted that Norway\u2019s Sovereign Wealth Fund has increased its indirect exposure to BTC.<\/p>\n<h2>Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund Increased Bitcoin Stack<\/h2>\n<p>Lunde noted that Norway\u2019s sovereign wealth fund \u2013 Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) \u2013 has significantly raised its indirect BTC exposure in 2025. He remarked:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This is my favorite chart to update whenever the world\u2019s largest sovereign wealth fund discloses holdings. It efficiently shows that BTC is finding its way into any well-diversified portfolio, intentional or not.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Notably, the NBIM fund increased its Bitcoin stake to 7,161 BTC. At current market prices, this is valued at approximately $844 million.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of 2024, the fund\u2019s exposure stood at 3,821 BTC, meaning its indirect holdings jumped by 3,340 BTC in just the first half of 2025. It was also supported by strong Bitcoin accumulation among other top corporate treasury holders.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy and Marathon Digital are among the leading public companies with the largest BTC reserves. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/public-companies-bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Data<\/a> from CoinGecko shows that Strategy currently holds 628,946 BTC, while Marathon Digital holds 50,000 BTC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Combined, these two companies own more than 3% of Bitcoin\u2019s total supply, valued at over $81 billion at current market prices. Conversely, Riot Platforms reduced exposure by 76.7 BTC.<\/p>\n<h2>2025: The Year Of BTC Adoption<\/h2>\n<p>While Bitcoin had already found its way onto corporate balance sheets before 2025, this year has seen the trend accelerate rapidly. Several companies have <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/metaplanet-3-7-billion-raise-210000-bitcoin-2027\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">announced<\/a> new fundraising initiatives aimed at increasing their BTC holdings.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Turkish mobility app Marti Technologies <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/bitcoin-treasury-marti-technologies-20-cash-btc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">revealed<\/a> plans to hold 20% of its total cash reserves in BTC. UK-based Satsuma Technology also <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/uk-based-satsuma-technology-raises-135-million-to-accelerate-bitcoin-purchases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">pledged<\/a> to expand its Bitcoin position.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Galaxy Digital recently <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/galaxy-digital-bitcoin-4272-btc-q2-2025-ethereum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">increased<\/a> its Bitcoin holdings by 4,272 BTC while reducing its exposure to Ethereum (ETH).
