Up more than 50% over the past month, ether is currently trading hands just beneath its record high at $4,700.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside, he expects continued outperformance over bitcoin (BTC), forecasting the ETH\/BTC ratio to rose to 0.05 from the current 0.039.<\/p>\n<p>Ether<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/08\/13\/ether-price-target-lifted-to-usd7-5k-at-year-end-and-usd25k-in-2028-at-standard-chartered\"> <\/a>treasury<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/08\/13\/ether-price-target-lifted-to-usd7-5k-at-year-end-and-usd25k-in-2028-at-standard-chartered\"> <\/a>companies and spot exchange-traded funds have purchased 3.8% of all ETH in circulation since early June, Kendrick said, adding that this was twice the fastest pace of comparable bitcoin buying.<\/p>\n<p>The second-largest cryptocurrency has also received a regulatory boost from the passage of the U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/08\/13\/More%20than%20half%20of%20all%20stablecoins%20are%20issued%20on%20Ethereum,%20and%20stablecoins%20already%20account%20for%2040%25%20of%20blockchain%20fees.\">GENIUS Act<\/a> in July, which paves the way for mainstream stablecoin adoption. More than half of all stablecoins are issued on Ethereum, and these cryptocurrencies already account for 40% of blockchain fees, Kendrick noted.<\/p>\n<p>Network growth is a tailwind.
