Ripple\u2019s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David JoelKatz Schwartz, has reaffirmed the XRP Ledger\u2019s (XRPL) eagerness to serve as a core infrastructure for the world\u2019s financial system<\/a>. He emphasized that the XRPL has been thoroughly battle-tested, demonstrating both resilience and adaptability as blockchain adoption continues to expand globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ripple CTO Touts XRP Ledger\u2019s Global Potential\u00a0<\/h2>\n

On Wednesday, Schwartz published<\/a> a rather lengthy post on X social media, underscoring the XRP Ledger<\/a>\u2019s proven durability and readiness to function as a critical infrastructure for the global finance system. The Ripple CTO pointed to the rising number of payment and stablecoin providers<\/a> developing their blockchains. He interpreted this trend as evidence that blockchain technology is increasingly regarded as a fundamental pillar of modern financial architecture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Schwartz noted that Ripple has been working steadfastly toward its vision of establishing the XRP Ledger as a secure, scalable, and interoperable foundation for global finance for more than 13 years. During this time, the crypto payments company has gradually refined the ledger\u2019s capabilities<\/a> to meet institutional-grade demands.<\/p>\n

Unlike blockchains that rely on permissioned validator sets managed by a single entity or group of people, the XRPL operates as a public, permissionless network<\/a>, while also providing optional permissioned features for regulated environments. He explained that all transfers are settled directly in XRP, thereby reducing friction and eliminating the cost of acquiring another token to transact.
