Even with the asset\u2019s retreat, that huge stash is worth more than the $5.88 billion in Bitcoin that MARA holds.<\/p>\n<p>The firm stated that it now holds 373,110 more ETH than a week ago, and its stash is $1.7 billion higher than a week ago.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">1\/6<br \/>\nBitMine today announced ETH holdings of 1,523,373 tokens:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 ETH holdings of 1,523,373 is valued at $6.6 billion ($4,323 ETH)<br \/>\n\u2013 373,110 more ETH than a week ago<br \/>\n\u2013 $1.7 billion higher than a week ago<\/p>\n<p>link <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/72x72\/26d3.png\" alt=\"\u26d3\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\">:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xUgJ1TadQ6\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/xUgJ1TadQ6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitmine BMNR (@BitMNR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitMNR\/status\/1957449700488974847?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">August 18, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Super-aggressive Accumulation<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cIn just a week, BitMine increased its ETH holdings by $1.7 billion to $6.6 billion, as institutional investors have expressed interest and support for our pursuit of the \u2018alchemy of 5%\u2019 of ETH,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/bitmine-immersion-bmnr-is-the-1-eth-treasury-in-the-world-now-2nd-largest-crypto-treasury-globally-and-the-10th-most-liquid-us-stock-trading-6-4-billion-per-day-on-average-302531968.html\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> Fundstrat\u2019s Tom Lee, who is also the Chairman of BitMine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to say, we are leading crypto treasury peers by both the velocity of raising crypto NAV per share and by the high trading liquidity of our stock.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lee echoed comments he made last week, stating that Ethereum is one of the biggest macro trades over the next 10-15 years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWall Street and AI moving onto the blockchain should lead to a greater transformation of today\u2019s financial system,\u201d he said before adding that \u201cthe majority of this is taking place on Ethereum.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ether is emerging as a direct way to gain exposure to the \u201cexpected meteoric growth\u201d in stablecoins as the Ethereum network hosts most of these assets, JP Morgan analysts wrote in a note last week.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum currently has more than 55% market share of total tokenized real-world assets on-chain value, including stablecoins, <a href=\"https:\/\/app.rwa.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to RWA.xyz.<\/p>\n<p>BitMine has 37% market dominance in the Ethereum treasury sector, which is currently worth $17.6 billion with more than 4 million ETH accumulated by corporations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strategicethreserve.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to SER. The firm has <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ethereum-tops-4600-as-bitmine-eyes-20b-eth-treasury\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">targeted a $20 billion<\/a> Ether treasury.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, BTCS Inc. became the first public company to issue a dividend in ETH this week.<\/p>\n<h2>ETH Price Retreats<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/eth-poised-for-bigger-gains-than-btc-according-to-this-indicator\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">ETH prices<\/a> have continued to retreat, however, as the crypto market correction deepens and <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/eths-5k-chances-drop-from-64-to-26-as-traders-turn-cautious\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">the chances<\/a> of it hitting an all-time high this month dwindle.<\/p>\n<p>Ether recovered from Monday\u2019s low of $4,250 but failed to move higher than $4,380, retreating back below $4,300 again during the Tuesday morning Asian trading session.<\/p>\n<p>The asset has now corrected 10% from its 2025 high and is currently trading around support levels.
