Moody\u2019s Recession Prediction: Two More Weeks<\/h2>\n

Recession risks are rising, according to Moody\u2019s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi. In a recent post on X, he warned that U.S. growth is faltering under mounting policy pressures.<\/p>\n

Zandi later clarified that he doesn\u2019t believe the economy is in a formal recession yet, but said certain sectors have already slipped into one.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Business Insider, Zandi pointed to tariffs, immigration restrictions, and Federal Reserve policy <\/a>as the main headwinds. Together, he said, they\u2019ve created unusually high uncertainty, stalling investment and hiring.<\/p>\n
