{"id":44260,"date":"2025-08-27T04:01:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T04:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=44260"},"modified":"2025-08-27T04:01:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T04:01:34","slug":"peter-schiff-says-bitcoin-bubble-is-running-out-of-air-but-is-btc-simply-taking-a-breather-after-77-annual-surge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=44260","title":{"rendered":"Peter Schiff Says Bitcoin &#8216;Bubble Is Running Out Of Air&#8217; \u2014 But Is BTC Simply Taking A Breather After 77% Annual Surge?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Economist <strong>Peter Schiff<\/strong>\u00a0took note of <strong>Bitcoin\u2019s <\/strong>(CRYPTO: <a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) underperformance compared to stocks and gold, warning that the cryptocurrency\u2019s bubble is \u201crunning out of air.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schiff Says Hype Not Translating Into Gains<\/h2>\n<p>In an X post, Schiff used Bitcoin\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/24\/12\/42331261\/bitcoin-hits-historic-100000-milestone-michael-saylor-gets-ready-for-party\">historic first climb to $100,000<\/a> in December 2024 as the reference point and highlighted the higher returns of gold, the Nasdaq Composite, and the <strong>VanEck Gold Miners ETF<\/strong> (NYSE:<a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/stock\/GDX#NYSE\">GDX<\/a>) since then.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff said that despite the hype around a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/crypto\/cryptocurrency\/25\/06\/46110276\/white-house-official-says-trump-administration-is-committed-to-bitcoin-hints-at-accumulation-plan-for-strategic-reserve\">Strategic Bitcoin Reserve<\/a> and aggressive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/crypto\/cryptocurrency\/25\/08\/47310872\/strategy-metaplanet-bitmine-continue-btc-eth-purchases-heres-how-much-they-bought\">corporate buying<\/a>, Bitcoin was up only 10%.
