To cope with that, the company temporarily suspended all futures trading services.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cOur team is working to resolve this as soon as possible. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">New updates will be shared<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> here. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Thank you for your patience<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">,\u201d the team said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Numerous X users praised the disclosure, but others expressed their frustration with the news. Some went even further, labeling Binance as the next FTX (the former crypto giant that collapsed in 2022 due to allegations of customer fund misuse and liquidity mismanagement). The outage, though, lasted less than an hour, with the firm <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/binance\/status\/1961322990743736725\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">announcing<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe issue affecting Futures UM trading on Binance has been resolved. All futures trading is now fully operational. Thank you for your patience and support!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Futures <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UM<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on Binance <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">refers<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to contracts where traders use stablecoins as margin, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">while<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> profits <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are also<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> paid<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in the form of USDT or other similar tokens.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The contracts can be perpetual (with no expiry date) or delivery ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Other Temporary Disruptions as of Late<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Several weeks ago, Binance <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/important-binance-announcement-heres-why-some-services-will-be-suspended-this-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">performed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a wallet maintenance for USDC withdrawals via Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (POL), Arbitrum (ARB), Base (BASE), and Optimism (OP).
