The legislative changes that allowed this move were implemented to counter the impact of Western sanctions on Russia\u2019s trade with major partners like China and Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Siluanov told Russia 24 television channel \u201cAs part of the experimental regime, it is possible to use bitcoins, which we had mined here in Russia (in foreign trade transactions).\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch\u00a0transactions are already occurring. We\u00a0believe they should be expanded\u00a0and developed further.
