The IPO was 20 times oversubscribed, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/ipo-winklevoss-founded-crypto-exchange-gemini-over-20-times-oversubscribed-2025-09-11\/\">Reuters report<\/a> on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>The shares will start trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market later Friday under the ticker symbol GEMI.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange is the latest crypto native firm to go public. Rival exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/08\/13\/crypto-exchange-bullish-shoots-above-usd100-as-shares-debut-more-than-doubling-ipo-price\">Bullish<\/a> (BLSH), the owner of CoinDesk, sold shares at $37 each last month, above the expected $32-$33 range.<\/p>\n<p>Gemini said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/2055592\/000110465925088432\/tm255912-20_s1a.htm\">filing<\/a> pm Tuesday that TradFi giant Nasdaq (NDAQ), had agreed to buy $50 million of its Class A common stock in a private placement at a price equal to the IPO price.<\/p>\n<p>Lead underwriters on the Gemini IPO were Goldman Sachs (GS), Citigroup (C), Morgan Stanley (MS) and Cantor.<\/p>\n<p>Gemini raised the price range for the IPO to $24-$26, from $17-$19, in an updated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/09\/10\/raised%20its%20proposed%20price%20range%20for%20its%20initial%20public%20offering%20in%20the%20U.S.,\">S1 filing<\/a> earlier in the week.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/09\/10\/crypto-exchange-gemini-boosts-ipo-price-range-to-usd24-usd26-per-share\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Crypto Exchange Gemini Boosts IPO Price Range to $24-$26 Per Share<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gemini, the crypto exchange backed by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, priced its initial public offering at $28 a share, valuing the company at around $3.3 billion.
