{"id":48111,"date":"2025-09-17T18:46:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T18:46:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=48111"},"modified":"2025-09-17T18:46:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T18:46:56","slug":"crypto-exchange-kraken-sees-handful-of-senior-execs-depart-source","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=48111","title":{"rendered":"Crypto Exchange Kraken Sees Handful of Senior Execs Depart: Source"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange preparing for a potential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/03\/07\/crypto-exchange-kraken-is-mulling-ipo-in-2026-bloomberg\">public listing<\/a> in the U.S. early next year, has seen the departure of four senior executives from the institutional side of the business, according to a person familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Those who have recently left Kraken are: David Olsson, global head of institutional sales; Shannon Kurtas, head of exchanges and a VP of product and the Pro service; Jeff K, a director of OTC trading and Sanjay K, OTC trading lead for Americas, the person said, who declined to be identified.<\/p>\n<p>Kraken declined to comment on the departures, none of whom immediately responded to requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Kraken was reported to have trimmed \u201chundreds\u201d of jobs ahead of a U.S. listing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-03-07\/crypto-exchange-kraken-said-to-prepare-for-ipo-in-2026\">planned for the first quarter of 2026<\/a>. Back in April of this year, a Kraken spokesperson said the firm was \u201cmaking the difficult decision to eliminate certain roles and consolidate teams where redundancies exist, while continuing to hire in key areas of the business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kraken&#8217;s income in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/07\/31\/crypto-exchange-kraken-s-earnings-fell-6-8-year-over-year-to-usd79-7m-in-q2\">Q2 2025<\/a> was 6.8% lower than in the equivalent quarter one year ago.
