As <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/xrp-etf-launch-imminent-latest-updates-revealed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reported<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the REX-Osprey XRP exchange-traded fund (under the ticker XRPR) is scheduled for launch today (September 18).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While the issuer described the investment vehicle as a spot ETF, some industry participants identified features that distinguish it from other such products. The popular Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett claimed it will operate as a \u201cspot ETF with extras.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cTo my understanding, it\u2019s a spot product in a \u201940 Act wrapper that holds real XRP plus cash, Treasuries, and some derivatives. Basically a spot ETF with extras, and is more regulated than traditional spot products,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Contrary to the upcoming product, spot crypto ETFs that have already <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">been approved<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in the United States are registered under the Securities Act of 1933, which governs commodity-based trusts. He also added that the team is working \u201cexpeditiously\u201d to launch the first multi-crypto asset ETP with BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, and ADA as underlying assets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The GDLC <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is specifically designed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to give investors exposure to some of the biggest cryptocurrencies, without requiring them to buy and store the coins themselves directly. It will track the CoinDesk Large Cap Select Index and will operate with daily cash creation and redemption of 10,000-share baskets.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ripple\u2019s Prestigious Partnership<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In addition to the breaking ETF news, the company <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-dbs-bank-franklin-templeton-tap-xrp-ledger-to-launch-tokenized-repo-markets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">shook hands<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> with the global investment company Franklin Templeton (which has over $1.6 trillion in assets under management) and the leading bank in Singapore, DBS Bank. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to the signed memorandum of understanding (MoU), the financial institution will list sgBENJ and RLUSD.
